About Us
Brandon Theis, PE (MT, WY, NV, AZ, CO)
Owner
Upon graduating from Montana State University with a Civil Engineering bachelor’s degree in 2002, Mr. Theis began working for a geotechnical/materials testing engineering firm in Kalispell, Montana. He performed materials engineering duties, excelling in a wide range of on-site field testing and quality control services. He assisted other engineers within the firm on multiple geotechnical and environmental projects. Much of the background work performed on these projects consisted of soil, concrete and asphalt testing in an A2LA accredited laboratory as well as on-site exploratory drilling and environmental clean-up assignments.
Mr. Theis then joined RPA’s Flathead Valley office in 2005 where he excelled at urban street, site development, and municipal utility design engineering services. He became skilled at remaining focused on the “big picture” even while he dove into the “little details” of a complex project. Mr. Theis believes that successful projects are the result of teamwork, project knowledge, client service, and communication. During his 18 years at RPA, he consistently contributed to projects that were finished on schedule and within budget while also progressing his career from Engineering Designer to Project Manager and lastly to Site Development Group Manager.
In January 2024, Mr. Theis left RPA to start Civil Solutions, Inc. Since opening Civil Solutions, Mr. Theis has continued to provide stellar Civil Engineering services to several local municipal and private clients. Building off his past experiences, Mr. Theis places the upmost importance on detailed schedules, frequent cost estimates, and client communication. Thoughtful and detailed design is important on all projects – but those efforts are all for nothing if projects are not within budget, if schedules creep, or communication is absent. Mr. Theis’ approach to project management is simple – work harder AND smarter (who says you can’t do both!).
Chris Brazda, EI (MT)
Engineering Designer
Chris is a Flathead Valley Native who was born and raised in Kalispell, Montana. He attended and graduated from Glacier Highschool in 2019. After graduating from Montana State University in 2023 with highest honors, Mr. Brazda began his career at RPA Engineering, a civil engineering firm in Kalispell, Montana. He contributed to both the Site Development Group and the Water/Wastewater Group as a construction on-site representative and engineering designer. In this role, he managed construction administration tasks and worked closely with contractors to ensure project execution aligned with plans. As an engineering designer, he employed Civil 3D software to design roadway corridors, grade project sites, and perform stormwater drainage analysis. Additionally, he utilized the software for site development projects, including parking lot layouts.
In 2024, Mr. Brazda transitioned from RPA Engineering to join Civil Solutions, founded by his former supervisor, Brandon Theis. This move enabled Chris to engage more deeply in all facets of civil project development, significantly enhancing his industry knowledge and expertise. Throughout the ambitious Alpine 9340 Project—a mixed-use development featuring six apartment buildings with over 200 multifamily units and 15,000 square feet of retail space—Chris worked through critical civil engineering efforts, including stormwater drainage analysis, water and sewer utility design, site grading, and close coordination with local and state agencies to successfully guide the project from concept through design approval and construction.
Mr. Brazda also provided design expertise and full-time construction administration for two highly successful street reconstruction projects in Whitefish, Montana: Karrow Avenue and East Sixth Street, completed in 2024 and 2025, respectively. Recently, he has worked on all civil engineering aspects of the Whitefish High School expansion, including the typical underground utility, stormwater, and grading designs as well as producing cost estimates and coordination with varies disciplines of the design team.
Truman Pisk, C.E.T.

Mr. Pisk graduated from Glacier High School in 2015 and went on to continue his education and athletic career at Montana Technological University in Butte, Montana. Truman Graduated in the spring of 2020 from Montana Tech with a bachelor’s degree in construction management. After Graduation, Mr. Pisk returned to the Flathead Valley and began his engineering career.
In May of 2021 Mr. Pisk began his engineering career with Foley Engineering where he excelled at successfully obtaining approvals from the Montana Department of Environmental Quality for land subdivisions located in Flathead, Lincoln, and Lake County. Mr. Pisk excelled in non-degradation to high quality state waters analyses, rural water and wastewater allocation for individual, multi-user, and public water and wastewater systems. Along with Mr. Pisk’s extensive knowledge of county land subdivisions, he also specialized in all types of wastewater system designs. From pressure dosed drain fields serving one individual home to 6,000 sq. ft. elevated sand mounds serving 24 homes with level II treatment, Truman has just about done it all with wastewater.
Mr.Pisk has been able to oversee several municipal projects for the City of Kalispell. Truman has taken projects all the way from the conceptual design phase to project closeout and final acceptance with the City. Mr. Pisk also has several years of Civil3D experience. Mr. Pisk is proficient in pipe networks, road grading, utilizing hydrographs to analyze stormwater basins, and several other Civil3D extensions.
Mr. Pisk joined Civil Solutions in May of 2025. Truman brings years of construction knowledge, Civil 3D software experience, and project management.
